Want to try this neat art project at home. Here's what you'll need:
- Canvas (size depends on how big you want your picture to be)
- A box of at least 64 crayons
- A hand held hair dryer
- A glue gun
- A bouquet of flowers from the dollar store
Steps:
Glue your crayons onto your canvas using the hot glue gun. ***This should only be done by an adult.***
Allow the crayons to adhere to the canvas. Let it sit for at least an hour.
Prop your canvas vertically on top of some old newspaper or drop cloth so that the wax drips down the board.
Warm the crayons using a hairdryer. Hold the dryer at least 1 to 3 inches away from the crayons. Point the dryer's flow downward this will help avoid splatters. (Be careful!!! Melted crayon wax is very hot. A teacher or parent must be present during this process).
Continue warming the crayons until you have reached the look you are going for. Allow the wax to cool completely. After it has cooled, a teacher can ask the students where they'd like to place their flowers and glue them to the canvas.
You have now completed your project!!!
