SHARE WEB RESOURCES

The web resource that I chose to use in order to professionally promote my program and myself as an educator is “ZERO TO THREE National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families” (http://www.zerotothree.org).

ZERO TO THREE is a national nonprofit organization that provides parents, professionals and policymakers the knowledge and the know-how to nurture early development.

Their mission is to ensure that all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life.

An issue, that I noticed when looking at the site Zero to Three website, was a Rally for Babies.  Zero to Three RALLY for Babies, Be a Big Voice for Little Kids.  This is an event that will heighten and raise awareness, at the white house level, to increase the access of high-quality early learning opportunities for young children.

On Wednesday, December 10th, President Obama is hosting a Summit on Early Education.  Zero to Three is giving educational professionals an opportunity to participate in this monumental event.  They have incorporated a way for you to rally whether you can physically attend the event or not; via computer, you can rally from your home.

The purpose of this event is for us, as a nation, to show our passion and serious need for the development of quality early learning and child development services for our children as early as birth.  This will ensure that a child has an optimal start and does not start his/her life behind.
